Torremolinos Jan 25th - Jan 28th

As we have been quite busy lately we decided to take a well earned break and take a little trip.
We booked flights toMalaga and a very cheap (but 4 star) hotel, and pottered off to Spain.

When we first arrived we were not sure if we gad made a massive mistake as everything we saw

was English. Eventually we found the Spanish part of town and enjoyed red wine and tapas.

On Saturday we drove down to Gibraltar, and about 10km away realised that we didn't have any GBP, so our first job upon arriving was finding a Natwest bank!!

It was quite an incredible experience. Gibraltar is quite litteraly a rock with a few houses at the bottom! We went to Marks and Spencers, and also found ELC, Topshop etc, and had lunch in an English pub. We even asked the English bobby for directions.... just because we could! We also took the cable car up to see the monkeys.

We got back to Torremolinos in the evening to the sight of an amazing sunset and went to

Bodega's for tapas dinner, which was out of this world. Strange really, as that was the name of the restaurant that Marty and I met in in Luxembourg.
Sunday we got up fairly early and saw the senrise, and went for a walk along the beach and a game of miny golf. We had tapas for lunch, followed by a long walk and then back to Bodega's for more food.

Monday we just had time for a walk along the beach and lunch in Mata Hambre before having to

drive back to the airport (all of a ten minute drive).
When we got off the plane lets just say we felt the difference in temperature straight away!!!

Aarona and Anna's Wedding

Aaron and Anna have finally tied the knot. In a very quiet and private ceremony, 10 years to the day that they started going out, they got married in Southend.

We all met up at Abigail's and toasted them with champagne and a chinese dinner!

My Birthday

I was getting a little concerned about entering the last year of my twenty's, but not it is here is is not so bad!!!

Both families got together for a lovely meal at Goethe Stuff, where I got to open my pressies a few day early.

Then on my actual birthday I opened my cards and my pressie from Martin which took me about 10 minutes to open, with one box in another in another.........but it was worth it! A beauiful pearl necklace. He even took me out for a wonderful meal, and the evening was perfect.

New Year

I was determined to have a better New Year than the last one, (not very hard), so we opted for a quiet one.

I cooked Marty and I a meal, and then Mike came over to set off some fireworks with us.

We had great fun, and a successful New Years Eve.
