Norwich & Scotland

We decided that it was time to do some serious shopping, and as I hadn't been to Marty's parent's cottage, we decided to combine the two. We flew over to Stansted and took the coach to Norwich.

We spent three days shopping till we dropped and luckily Marty's parent had been over for the Chelsea flower show, so they were able to drive all our shopping back for us.

We spent Tuesday afternoon with Claire, Marty's friend from school and just chilled out on Wednesday and cut the grass (quite a job!!!!).

On Thursday we flew up to Edinburgh and saw Marty's grandparents. We stayed at The Witchery, which was out of this world.... just have a look at these pictures!!! They do say it is the most romantic hotel in Scotland!!!!!!

Friday we drove up to Pitlochry and stayed in a nice B&B and had fish and chips for dinner.

Saturday was the BIG day for the Zorbing. I will try and put a video on here later. Basically you roll down a big hill in a big inflatable ball. I thought I would do it just so I could say that I had, but I actually really enjoyed it.

Sunday we popped round to see Marty's grandparents and his uncle again and then flew back to Lux.

A very nice break, but quite a lot of money spent!!! At least the exchange rate is in our favour and we have lots of clothes to show for it!!

Civil Partnership

Today Marty and I took our paper work to the town hall to make an appointment to get a Civil Partnership; an official recongition of our relationship.... it helps with tax, social security and also makes us officially recognised as partners in case something happens to one of us.

We went along, thinking that September might be a good month for a little cermony, but they did it there and then!! So, a little shocked and suprised, but very happy, we left the office Civil Partners!!!!

It has worked out very well, as we will be staying in the most romantic hotel in Scotland next week.......
